Analog Integration Corporation recently announced a high efficiency, low noise, and low dropout, 500mA fan controller driver IC AIC1993. Drawing only 5uA quiescent current at shutdown mode and 0.5mA at no load mode, power dissipation would be reduced efficiently. Low Ci & Co ceramic value, limited input range 4.5~5.5V, and Vout 1.6X Vset functions, make SOP8 package type AIC1993 is especially suitable for NB application. As of thermal protection,and short circuit protection function, designer could be in an easy and safety designing.
